WHY FINKONIA'S STONEWASHED LINEN SAUNA ROBE?
Linen is a fibre that is easy to love. It's a luxurious material that comes from the humble flax plant, an ancient flowering crop cultivated for thousands of years. Flax grows without the need for fertilizers or pesticides, often coming close to the organic standard without even trying. This makes it ecological and sustainable, a great choice for the eco conscious consumer fed up with fast fashion and the burden it places on the environment.
Linen fabrics have some exceptionally appealing qualities. Linen is breathable, antibacterial, moisture-wicking, absorbent, long lasting and only gets better with age and use, softening and gaining more character. The material is also naturally thermo-regulating, being insulating in the cold and cool when it's hot. Linen items are not hard to look after, just follow the care instructions and treat them gently.
The Finnish brand Finkonia is renowned for their linen textiles, designed in Finland and manufactured in Finland and the Baltic countries from sought-after European flax. Their fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
See the product label.
Finkonia linen products are machine-washable. Separate white, dark and coloured items. For best results, wash separately from other fabrics, especially the first few washes as linen fabrics may leave lint. For items that are not heavily soiled, washing in lukewarm water (max 40°C) on your machine's gentle/delicates cycle is usually enough. However, if needed, Finkonia linen items can be washed at 60°C. Do not overload the machine. Use eco friendly, mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Line-dry away from direct sunlight, do not tumble dry. If desired, iron while slightly damp using high heat.
