Viima is a spacious and durable backbag, designed in Finland by Miisa Asikainen. Its print is called “Tikku” as it sounds so cheerful. And it is worth cheering indeed that old army clothes and bags (100% cotton) are recycled to make this stunning backbag. The material is sorted and cleaned in Finland. The lining is surplus polyester fabric. Virgin materials are used for the zippers, metal parts and cotton strap. The inside of Viima features a large padded laptop pocket, big enough for a 15” laptop, and a separate zipper pocket. On the outside you will find two zipper pockets and a metal hook closure, which allows you to adjust the size of the backbag. The padded shoulder straps are adjustable. This is your go-to choice if you need a big and versatile backbag with many uses.

WHY GLOBE HOPE VIIMA BACKPACK?

Every year, the global textile industry creates an estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste that now is growing into a major component of our landfills. The industry also pollutes the environment and contributes to environmental degradation by using water, energy and other resources to produce textiles. But there's a different way of which Globe Hope is a great example.
Globe Hope is not only a name but the mindset of the business. Established in 2003, Globe Hope is the forerunner in uncompromisingly sustainable design. From the beginning they have based their business on circular economy, creating new items from leftovers, textile waste, recycled, upcycled and surplus materials. Globe Hope is: Ethical. Ecological. Esthetical. Responsible. Effective. Transparent.
Globe Hope sorts and cleans their raw materials, designs ans sews prototypes in Finland. Their bags and accessories are then manufactured in Finland and the Baltic countries. The company has been granted a Key Flag logo by the Association for Finnish work as well as a Design from Finland logo.
